FROM 6+ YEARS OF NEAR ZERO REVENUE TO AVERAGING AROUND £3,250/MONTH BY MONTH 3

The Strategy Behind This Brand’s Explosive Growth Through Google Ads Management and Optimisation.

This Client offers Natural Grower products for Organic Growers across the UK,

such as multi-purpose organic compost, natural liquid fertiliser, natural plant feed and soil conditioners.

​​Their Advertising goals are to Increase Brand Awareness, Website Traffic, and most importantly increase Conversions and Revenue.

They were getting a lot of people coming to their website, but were not purchasing, resulting in a significant spend with no proper ROI.

Before we stepped in and started managing their Ads in this Account, last January 8th of 2025. This Google Ads Account has been active and has Ads running, since February 22, 2018 with 8 total Campaigns of different types, such as Smart, Search, Standard Shopping and Performance Max Campaigns.

THE STORY

And as shown on the screenshot above, these Campaigns had no success for over 6 Years. Despite the significant amount of budget spent on their Ads, with some Campaigns having just minimal Revenue, and most had none.

Though their Conversion tracking was set up, and they had a good combination of different Campaign types, their Ads account was just not optimised properly to achieve the results they were looking for, which is to generate Revenue and grow their business.

Above, is a screenshot of their Ads Account Dashboard, showing the overall performance data from all of the Campaigns since February 22, 2018 up to December 31, 2024. For over 6 Years of running Ads, they only managed to generate a Revenue of £59.00 Versus their Overall Cost of over £11.4K, which is clearly a waste of time and money.

Despite the consistent activity in their Ads management, their Ads overall performance was really weak due to improper implementations/optimisations.

But through scanning their Ads account and other analytical reports, We saw a really great potential in their brand/business. 

There was a significant volume of search activity for their type of products online, through various platforms:

THE EXPERIENCE

We stepped-in to manage their Google Ads account last January 8, 2025.

We had no time to waste and started setting up a new Conversion tracking setup, and created new Conversion actions in their Ads account to optimize for their ultimate goals, which are Brand awareness, Website traffic, and most importantly Revenue and Growth.

We created New Campaigns and Paused all their existing Campaigns.

While there's an initial investment of time in building new Campaigns, it often provides a stronger foundation for success, allows you to implement best practices, and can lead to faster and more measurable improvements in performance compared to the often uphill battle of fixing deeply flawed existing Campaigns. Our focus was on creating a well-structured and optimized environment for achieving the Client's advertising goals.

ACTIONS TAKEN

Note: They had a number of Conversions from certain actions/engagements, but only had £59.00 in Revenue VS their Overall Cost of over £11.4K for over 6 Years.

Note: Within just a month of managing and optimizing their account from January 8, 2025, we’ve already seen improvements in their Ads performance.

The increase in Revenue may not be that impressive yet, but we already managed to get way more Revenue in just 3 weeks of working, compared to the Revenue they made in the previous 6 Years. Plus, for the 1st time in over 6 Years, they started getting a Return on their Ad Spend, with a ROAS of more than 2.6X on our 1st Month of work.

Note: In the 2nd Month, we already started scaling their Ads. As we can see, their overall Cost doubled, and so are the number of Conversions and Revenue.

While their Return on Ad Spend (ROAS) improved by at-least 10%.

Which is a big difference in such little time! We have anticipated a good outcome but we didn’t expect to see results that fast in just less than 2 Months.

Note: And in just the 3rd month of working on their Ads account, the screenshot above shows outstanding results for the Client. With just a minimal increase in their Overall Cost on the 3rd Month compared to the 2nd Month, We can see that the number of Conversions and Revenue has increased significantly, and their Account ROAS jumped from 2.7X to over 4.1X!

Now, we may already be bragging at this point, but we are just really happy and proud of what we managed to achieve for our Client, that we want to share it with you.

We are able to continuously scale their business, generating more and more Conversions and Revenue, while their Return on Ad Spend also continues to grow. They now have an Average Return of over 5X in the last 30 days.

THE PROBLEM

Poor Optimisations/Implementations In Their Managed Ads Account and Campaigns with No Direction/s.

When we took over this account, they had all the different types of Campaigns with proper budgets, but with poor Ads structure and improper Conversions/Goals that their Ads was optimised for.

Though they were getting good website traffic, All Conversions/Engagements being generated out of those engagements, did not provide any benefit to the Client.

The Revenue was so minimal, they were simply wasting their resources for a number of years. 

Which really bothered us, as to why it took so long for them to switch agencies, and urged us to do the best we could, to save their advertising and business.

THE ACTION

Proper Conversion Tracking, Campaigns Setup and Optimization

To turn things around, we started by reviewing and setting up their Conversion tracking properly, creating New Conversion Actions to track valuable events such as Add to Cart, Begin Checkout and most especially Purchases, while ensuring accuracy.

We also made sure that the proper Merchant Center, Shopify, Google Analytics 4 Property and Ads Account were linked properly together, ensuring that all their products are eligible to show on their Ads, and that we are able to track and monitor valuable data, from details about their Audiences such as Demographics, their activities such as products they viewed, added to cart or purchased. All Sales and Revenue generated and down to the smallest details that we can review and use to further implement optimisations in their Ads Account and Campaigns accordingly.

Then we proceeded with Pausing/Removing all the existing Campaigns they had, which did not provide desirable results. And we set them up with new and properly structured Campaigns of different types in their Account, and ensuring all their products are eligible to show in their Ads, across all of Google's advertising channels, such as the following:

  • Google Search Network

  • Google Display Network

  • YouTube

  • Gmail

  • Google Maps

  • Google Discover

  • Google Shopping


Which opened a lot of doors for their Brand, resulting in the growth of their Google Ads Conversions and Revenue, as well as significantly improving their brand awareness and expanding their Customer base and Customer Lifetime Value (CLV).
