This client, a car parts and accessories business, had previously attempted Google Ads but saw little to no return. After struggling to generate results, they handed over the reins to us.

At the time we stepped in, their account had zero conversions and no revenue generated. The only campaign running was a short-lived Search campaign that had delivered impressions but failed to convert—producing only a handful of clicks before being paused.

Although their previous campaign performance was weak—mainly due to poor setup and lack of strategic management—we saw strong potential in the business.

After gaining a deeper understanding of their products, audience, and advertising goals, we began working inside their Google Ads account. We first ensured conversion tracking was set up correctly, then built a series of well-structured, performance-focused campaigns designed to drive real results.

Within just the first month of launching and optimising their new campaigns, the account generated £1,050 in revenue—a significant improvement in a very short space of time.

By month two, performance had scaled dramatically, with attributed revenue jumping to £6,030.

Every conversion and pound of revenue came directly from the campaigns we implemented—with Shopping Ads driving the majority of sales. The results exceeded initial expectations and confirmed the brand’s strong market potential when backed by the right strategy.

By the second month, performance skyrocketed:

  • Conversions increased by more than 5×

  • Revenue grew by over 500%

  • Cost per conversion dropped by more than 50%

  • ROAS jumped from 2.2× in month one to 5.5× in month two

  • That’s a total ROAS increase of 328.41%

Not only were we generating strong revenue, but other key performance metrics were steadily improving—signalling a healthy, scalable ad account built for long-term growth.

Overall account performance showed consistent improvement across the board—clicks, impressions, click-through rate (CTR), and conversion rate all increased, while the average cost per click (CPC) decreased.

When we first reviewed the account, there were no active Google Ads running. The brand had previously attempted a campaign but removed it after failing to see results—leaving valuable revenue opportunities on the table.

There was no proper conversion tracking, no campaign structure, and no way to gather meaningful performance data. Without a well-optimised strategy, the brand couldn’t attract quality traffic, showcase its wide product range, or convert clicks into sales.

On top of that, the website itself needed work. Poor display formatting and a confusing customer journey made navigation difficult—contributing to high bounce rates and abandoned carts.

A Poorly Managed Ads Account & an Underperforming Website

THE PROBLEM:

To turn things around, we began by properly setting up conversion tracking across their account. We created custom conversion actions to monitor key events like Add to Cart, Begin Checkout, and Purchases—giving us visibility into what truly drives performance.

We ensured seamless integration across all critical platforms—Google Ads, Shopify, Google Analytics 4, and Merchant Center—to make their products eligible for Shopping Ads and to unlock audience insights such as demographics, behaviour, and purchase patterns. This setup gave us access to granular data we could use to inform optimisation strategies going forward.

With accurate tracking in place, we launched a new campaign structure that included a mix of Shopping and Search campaigns—each tailored to highlight specific product categories and reach targeted audience segments.

We also advised the client to refresh their website layout, making it more structured and user-friendly. This not only improved the on-site experience but ensured our campaigns had high-quality landing pages to support ad performance.

As real-time data started coming in, we continuously reviewed the performance and implemented ongoing optimisations—adjusting bids, testing creatives, refining targeting, and scaling what worked.

Through consistent monitoring, data-driven decisions, and strategic scaling, we not only achieved the client's goals—we exceeded them. The account is still under our management today, and we continue to grow their reach and revenue month after month.
