Tug-e-Nuff sells dog training equipment such as bungee toys, bite materials, treats and toys. Their products are designed to give your dog an outlet for their energy, train them to be more co-operative in a friendly way and above all help dog and owner really bond. They approached us in June/July 2021 after they found that the previous marketing agency was not delivering on results, had poor communication with them and was not utilising their brand or products unique selling points well enough. All this had left the client feeling frustrated and also slowed down their USA expansion plans.
Turns out we were a good fit and there was plenty of room for sustainable growth. The previous agency was missing some big opportunities. We made a start with their Google ads this was a heavily underutilised platform. We found that there were no brand ads, no remarketing, the shopping ads were all lumped into one ad set. They were getting a return of around 3-4X but not more than that. So we decided to go after the low hanging fruit and without boring you with all the details we managed to take their ROAS from 3-4X to almost 13X in just 30 days. To put that into perspective, before we took over their Google account they were averaging around 5 days of the month where they made over £1000 per day. Since we took over they started to have around 20 days per month where they made well over £1000 per day.
With their Google account, we are now in a position to really scale and the client is working hard with us to create some amazing video content for YouTube and Facebook.
Speaking of Facebook, this was also in a mess with the same issues, they had one ToF (top of funnel campaign) which was doing 2-4 ROAS but again no effective retargeting or audience segmentation or thorough testing parameter to see what works well.
By testing the content in a more structured way and building out a more comprehensive sales funnel we managed to really ramp up the client’s Facebook account. Some campaigns are generating anything between 5-8X ROAS and we have major plans for an aggressive growth/scale campaign. This has allowed us to bring down their cost per purchase and also increase the volume of sales by up to 40% in less than 30 days and increased overall ROAS to almost 6X.
The changes we made have really moved things in the right direction and are having a massive impact on conversions. The global industry average for good conversion is around 2-3% but we are really pleased to see that their conversion point is above 8%. We are now in a good position to really push their USA expansion plans and the overarching goal of establishing the brand as an authority in dog training and owner-dog relationship building.
